About Frizzell Heritage Music

Frizzell Heritage Music is an independent music publication dedicated to country music history, artist biographies, album reviews, song analysis, guitar, and the continuing legacy of the Frizzell family.

Our Story

The publication was founded and is edited by Taylor Frizzell, a musician, guitarist, and guitar instructor with more than a decade of playing experience. Taylor is the grandson of country and Christian-country artist Allen Frizzell and the great-nephew of Lefty Frizzell and David Frizzell. That family connection gives this publication a personal responsibility to preserve country-music history accurately while also covering the artists shaping the genre today.

Taylor began as a rock and metal guitarist before developing a deeper appreciation for traditional and modern country music. That combination informs the site’s approach: biography and history are paired with attention to songwriting, vocal phrasing, guitar work, production, performance, and the musical details that make an artist distinctive.

What We Publish

Our Mission

Our mission is to make country-music history approachable, preserve stories that deserve to remain visible, and help readers understand not only what an artist accomplished but why the music matters. We aim to publish useful, readable work that respects artists, readers, and the historical record.

Research and Editorial Standards

Articles are developed using artist websites, label materials, reputable interviews, chart and award organizations, established music publications, and other relevant primary or authoritative sources. We distinguish confirmed facts from interpretation, correct meaningful errors when discovered, and update important artist pages as careers develop. Reviews express the writer’s independent opinion.

For more information about our standards, read our Editorial Policy. Questions, corrections, rights concerns, or collaboration inquiries may be submitted through our Contact page.
